Brittany's Senior Session
I met with Brittany last weekend for her senior portrait session. The rain clouds were looming overhead the whole time, but the rain waited until after our last shot- then it absolutely poured down on us... Despite getting quite wet at the end, it was a great session. So I pulled out a selection from the session and made a slideshow- take a look:

Little Cutie Contest Winner
I met with Mia (the oh-so-adorable winner of the little cutie contest) last weekend to shoot her Ooo La La Session(her prize for winning the contest). She brought along her big sis Kayleigh for the session, and the two of them were perfect little dolls! We had a blast playing tea party and dress up (and getting adorable shots of the whole thing)! I'm so glad they came to play!
I made a slideshow including an assortment of images from the session, enjoy!

I can't do a Boudoir Session because I...
...am not skinny enough... am too old... have cellulite... am not a model...
You name it, I've heard it. In fact I've said these things myself. I hear from so many women, "I'd love to have images like that of myself, but I don't look like a model..." Well, that may be true, but even models don't look like models prior to hair, make-up, a brilliant photographer, and editing after the shoot. It takes a colossal effort to make supermodels look super! Beyond that, Boudoir Photography isn't about looking like a Playboy model, it's about celebrating real women with real bodies. Of the many women I've photographed, few looked like models, and fewer still were cellulite free. I think we all know by now that the average dress size of a woman in the US is a size 14. I'm not sure that even matters though, because true beauty isn't about your age or the number on the scale. I truly believe that beauty is something that starts from the inside and isn't about what size you wear. Your husband didn't fall in love with you because of your jean size (and if he did, I'm sorry dear, but I wouldn't put a lot of trust in the depth of that relationship). I've heard from many men that what they find most sexy in a woman is confidence. And what shows sexy confidence more than having the courage to pose for a boudoir session? Truly though, I believe the experience of a boudoir shoot isn't just about presenting the images to your husband, it's about celebrating what makes you beautiful, no matter your age or waist size. Most of all, it's about amazing yourself when you see the images- proof that you are a sexy, confident woman.
